Word on the street is that HarperCollins is releasing a series of YA (young adult) books from Candace Bushnell that are all about the teen years of Carrie Bradshaw. Hopefully they won’t be as heinous as Carrie’s season 1 children’s book idea about the girl with the magic cigarettes…
According to the source, “Though Carrie was the lead character of the show and the narrator of the novel, fans would probably want to know about the early years of Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha, too. Maybe if the kids love these enough, the other girls will also get the YA treatment.”
The first book is slated to come out in 2010. No doubt, Miley would play young Carrie in the movie version. Regardless, I don’t think this is a good idea. Kids don’t need another reason to be more… sexual.
