I’m revising my YA manuscript and came across this little gem in my journal from 2006:

 

Study break. Just went to get Starbucks. As I try to down this Venti Iced White Chocolate Mocha with skim milk, no whipped cream please… I’ve started to realize choices. Choices are things that people make every day. Do you want fries with that? No. What size shirt do you want? Medium. Are you shopping for your brother or your boyfriend? Brother. What is your problem? I don’t know. Didn’t think I had one. What did she ever do to you? Technically? Nothing. In all actuality, everything. Can you just bury the hatchet? Absolutely not. How many ice cubes do you want? Three. And fuck you.
