song of the week

This week was Thanksgiving, so I am aptly dedicating this week’s “song of the week” post to a song that I am very thankful for. “Second Place Victory” by This Day & Age is number one on my “favorite songs of all time” play list. If you let it, it will change your life. (I know I just sounded like a crazy person telling you to drink the red Kool-Aid, but just trust me on this one.)

Also, I couldn’t find a link to download the song. So, I tried finding a video on YouTube. All of them are bad quality live performances. So here is a wonderful “Final Fantasy” rendition with my own subtitle of: “people have WAY too much time on their hands.”

Edit: I uploaded it to ZShare for those of you that need to download it. Click here! Also, if you are interested in the rest of my “favorite songs of all-time play list,” here it is:

  • “Hey Jealousy” - The Gin Blossoms
  • “Sun” - Mae
  • “Second Place Victory” - This Day & Age
  • “Dream a Little Dream of Me” - Billie Holiday
  • “Hurricane” - Something Corporate
  • “The Engine Driver” - The Decemberists
  • “Porcelain” - Moby
  • “Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner” - Fall Out Boy
  • “Echo” - Trapt
  • “The Science of Selling Yourself Short” - Less Than Jake
  • “Shimmer” - Fuel
  • “How to Save a Life” - The Fray

  1. Good song! I love the movie that goes with it. Quality!
