Meredith Grey Monologuism - episode 4
- Way to open the episode. Show down between Callie and Izzie! I was sort of disappointed with the way Izzie acted, though. Thinking that she was going to have an actual physical fight made her look trashy. Doctors aren’t supposed to be trashy! They’re supposed to be staunch republicans that have a drink after work. Scotch, likely.
- Norman seriously has to stop with the seriously. I also sort of want to smack the writers for his character, in general. Totally, for sure, unnecessary.
- I used to be in favor of Callie and Bailey joining forces, but up until a certain point in this episode, I was back to Team Bailey and wanted Callie to lose her job. HOWEVER! When she let out on the smoking guy with the dieting wife, I was so glad. It’s like, FINALLY, exude some sort of emotion! I can finally empathize with her.
- Camille broke my heart in half and then the pieces also got cancer and died. And, of course only when his wife that left him but is sort of now dating him needs him, The Chief is suddenly called “my husband.” But I guess that’s understandable.
- I really hope Derek doesn’t end up having an affair with Lexie. And finally, this week’s monologue:
In life, only one thing is certain apart from death and taxes. And that is no matter hard you try, no matter how good your intentions, you’re going to make mistakes. You’re going to hurt people, you’re going to get hurt. And if you ever want to recover, there’s really only one thing you can say…
forgive and forget, that’s what they say. it’s good advice, but it’s not very practical. when someone hurts us, we want to hurt them back. when someone wrongs us, we want to be right. without forgiveness, old scores are never settled. old wounds never heal. and the most we can hope for is that one day, we can be lucky enough to forget.
I think she said “… apart form death and taxes.” I love that you got this quote up so fast. Thanks!
